The inauguration of Sultan Haitham City was a step ahead in the forward-looking approach Oman has undertaken. Established under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, this city will be a monument dedicated to progress and innovation, reflecting the Sultanate’s desire for all-inclusive and sustainable development.

Phase 1: 2024-2030
Area: 5 million square meters

- Six integrated neighborhoods
- Central park area of 1,600,000 sqm
- 6,743 housing units of villas, townhouses, and apartments
Facilities: a private hospital, churches, schools, gas station, social, cultural and service amenities

A tripartite contract was signed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Al Abrar Real Estate, and Oman Housing Bank to avail finance and funds for people who want to purchase residential units in Sultan Haitham City.

The ministry has signed 29 development and partnership contracts with eight international and local developers. The major details are as follows:
Al Wafa District, Phase 1 and 2:
Developer: Al Abrar Real Estate
Sales Status: 78% residential units in Phase 1 have been sold
Dream Villa Company:
It is developing Al Ahlam neighborhood.
Strategic Partnerships
Some strategic partnerships have also been established to reinforce the infrastructure and facilities of the city. These include:
Ministry of Health:
Referral hospital and a national center for women and children’s health.
Nama Group:
Partnership for the water supply project.

The promotional activities on Sultan Haitham City consist of involvement in local and international exhibitions and discussion sessions with the youth and strategic meetings with various institutions.
